Spent a half day on a guided tour in one of most beautiful mountain settings I've ever seen! My guide Mark taught me everything I needed to know about fly fishing since I was new to it. Within minutes of stepping into the stream we were catching trout. Amazing experience.. highly recommend the trip!
The guides at the shop are very good about sharing information. It is clear they take alot of pride in their craft. If you are having trouble targeting fish, they always have recommendations. These include locations, times of day, flies, tippets, etc. They are also very knowledgeable about tying flies and I have had several good conversations about certain patterns. Their advice does not seem to be centered around making sales. I have never been shown or upsold merchandise while trying to pick a guide's brain. Also, I lost a fly rod last year and two of the guides stayed late to try and fix me up with a good rig as well as spool the reel for me. I really appreciated that as I felt naked without a good rig. I will always visit this place and I highly recommend it for any fly fishing bums that need direction or just some good conversation.
