Good service very taste salads and good main dishes. A little loud there was live music which was nice. Definitely will go back.
If I were reviewing this establishment for the atmosphere, friendly staff and bar drinks, I would have given a 5 star, however, I also chose to order a burger & fries on my last visit and was torn between giving 1 or 2 star and was generous in giving a 2 star.

Wanted to give this place a try since there are not a ton of restaurant options in Cashiers. They were very crowded, but we sat at the bar and were waited on very quickly. Definitely try the local beers they have on tap.
We went there while driving thru town. They had a nice Sunday Brunch menu. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and our server was nice and helpful! They have a nice selection of local craft brews. We ordered a burger/blue cheese coleslaw, shrimp and grits, BBQ biscuit/fries, and chicken tenders/fries. Everything tasted good--we had no complaints! We'd gladly go back if ever in the area
Great food. Great atmosphere. Staff was awesome. Will be making the Ugly Dog Pub a regular place to go during our trips to NC.
I ordered my burger well done and my first bite found it to be medium rare...no big deal send it back for more cooking time. So, I get the same patty back and took a bite and the damn thing was still red in the middle, fries were now ice cold and my appetite was gone! My server stopped by the table to see if everything was okay and saw my far less than well done burger and asked if I wanted to send it back again or if I wanted something else to eat but, it was too late. When the check arrived I was somewhat surprised to find that I was still being charged for the burger however, my server told me he bought me a beer due to the screw up which was a kind gesture but didn't rectify the situation...Oh well, I will visit this establishment again for a fun bar scene but never, I repeat never will I order food from The Ugly Dog Pub.
